Stress and workshop

Architecture is one of the most beautiful but difficult degrees at college. It teaches how to look at the world surrounding us in a different way and from another perspective. You become an architect after you have gone through many courses. However, I would say there is specifically one of them that I consider to be the most important, yet stressful, and that one is Workshop. This course demands plenty of hours a week, including weekends, and you have to deal with it throughout the degree. It is important because it teaches how to build a model, carry out a project and else. At the beginning, the tasks were simple, but that didn't mean they were necessarily easy. In fact, they were sort of difficult to me because I didn't know anything about design or spatial relations. It also requires a lot of creativity and imagination, which were difficult to me as well because I wasn't used to imagine and create things with such level of exactitude. In high school, I almost didn...

I discovered my love for movies when I was five. A friend of my parents used to look after me and my brother sometimes, so when she was at home we used to watch horror movies with her without my parent noticing it. The first horror film I saw was A Nightmare on Elm Street and it is one of my favorites until today; I was so frightened when we saw it that sometimes I even had to close my eyes. My parents didn't use to take me and my brother to the movies, but that wasn't a problem because three years after my first experience with horror films I knew about the existence of the internet and learned how to download movies by myself and watch them online. I discovered a whole new world of infinite options, so I started searching for new films of different genres. During that time, d...

The best concert ever!

The best concert I have ever been to was "Gladiator in concert" in 2014 at Movistar Arena. This show was kind of special because it was about the Ridley Scott's Oscar-winning film Gladiator. While the actual movie was being played on a big screen, there was a British orchestra playing the music in front of it. The ensemble was honored with the presence of Lisa Gerard, singer of the Australian musical project Dead Can Dance, a new age and dark wave musical group. The latter was extraordinary because Lisa in fact participated in the original soundtrack of the movie. This show was memorable to me because it was the first time I heard a live orchestra and went to a concert all by myself. People around me went in complete silence when the show started, and once Lisa finished singing the first song people started clapping loudly. I remember seeing someone crying while she was performing and I couldn't blame her, it was sublime. I don't remember plenty of details on t...
