Course and self evaluation

Since I was a child I noticed that learning a new language was not something difficult for me. Well, of course it was at the beginning, but after taking a few classes and giving it a little practice, it really turned out to be a piece of cake for me. Furthermore, I think some experiences helped me to get along with this language. I say this because when I was five I lived for about three months in the US, specifically in a place called Elizabeth in New Jersey. I think that interacting with native english speakers was something crucial at that age; it changed the way I perceive it as a second language. So when I was in high school I had very good grades in my english class, and that gave me enough motivation to start an english course in the Chilean British Institute of Culture. I finished school in 2013, and since then I had not taken english classes until this semester. To be honest, I missed this course; I noticed sometimes that I could not remember some words, or how speak and write properly. But at the minute I faced this course again I was able to remember lots of words and phrases. Using blogs was a good idea; it gives you the opportunity of express yourself. I would change some topics, but in general it is fine. I know that I have many things to improve, for example, I would like to be able to speak fluently. Listening to music and watching movies or shows in english can help, but the best practice you can have is speaking with another person in english, so that is something that I decided doing this summer. Sometimes I have this habit of thinking in english when I am doing nothing, and I think it is starting to have an effect on me because I have been able to even dream in english a few times (everyone in my dreams is speaking english!) so I think that is a good sign. Knowing english is so helpful when you can not find the subtitles of the movies you download from internet, it is such a great advantage!
